Our Cayenne Cheddar cheese is a creamy orange cheddar cheese that is spiced up with cayenne peppers. It is great sliced for sandwiches or crackers or shredded and added to your favorite Mexican recipe for an added kick.
Wine Pairings: White Riesling, Merlot, or Sauvignon Blanc
Cayenne Cheddar Meatballs
* Crumble 16oz. of Cayenne Cheddar cheese into a slow cooker, then
add about 6-7oz. of water.
* Cook on high, stirring occasionally until it becomes a smooth sauce.
* Pour in 1 to 1 1/2 pounds of pre-cooked meatballs.
* Allow to cook until meatballs are completely heated through,
occasionally stirring.
* Turn heat to low & serve.
* Serve as an appetizer or on a hogie bun.
Cayenne Cheddar Sloppy Joes
* 1 pound ground beef browned throughly
* 3/4 cup ketchup
* 7-8 oz. Cayenne Cheddar, cubed and melted in microwave at 50%
power.
* Combine all ingredients & serve over toasted hamburger or kaiser
rolls, topped with thin slice of tomato & onion.
Cayenne Cheddar Mac & Cheese
* Cook (boil or grill) about 1 to 2 pounds of chicken breast and shred.
* Boil & drain 8oz. noodles of your choice.
* Cut into chunks 1/2 lb of sharp cheddar and 1/2 lb Cayenne cheddar.
* In a big saucepan bring 6oz. of water to a boil.
* Put the cheese in and IMMEDIATELY start stirring and continue to
stir until chunks are melted.
* Remove from ehat and add noodles & chicken.
* Enjoy!!
Cozy Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
* 2 slices of your favorite bread
* 1 thick slice of Cayenne cheddar
-Spead butter on outside of both pieces of bread.
-Place thick slice of Cayenne cheddar between the bread.
-Place in frying pan at medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
-Flip sandwich and cover pan, cook for 2-3 more minutes or until golden
brown.
-Serve.
