What hours would I work if I worked at Grandpa's Cheesebarn or Sweeties Jumbo Chocolates?
Our regular store hours are posted at the top of the website. Those applications that have a schedule that will allow them to work flexible hours during these times will be considered for positions first. We are most often looking for those individuals that have an open schedule that will allow them to work any hours during the week AND on the weekends. It is rare for us to consider someone who is NOT available to work the weekend shifts.

Purchasing from the Website
How can I purchase gift items I have seen while shopping at Grandpa's Cheesebarn?
Grandpa's Cheesebarn has a wide assortment of gift items available in the lower level of the cheesebarn. Due to the fact that the items change often and are sometimes based on season, we do not offer them on-line. However if you wish to purchase something that you spotted in our store while here shopping give us a call (800)745-7091 and ask to speak to the gift shop. They will be more than happy to locate the item of interest and ship it to you.

How long can my cheese remain unrefrigerated?
Cheese will last 2-3 days out of refrigeration. Vacuum sealing a cheese will allow you to leave it out of refrigeration much longer than this. If you are shopping in our store and would like us to vacuum seal your cheeses we can do that for an additional $.50 per block of cheese. If you are ordering on-line, all of your cheeses will be vacuum sealed as part of our shipping process and the cost is included in the handling fee that is charged with your order.

What is the $6.00 handling fee for?
Every order is charged a flat rate of $6.00 to cover the cost of all packaging materials. This includes the box and packing peanuts that will be used in the box. This also includes the cost of bubble wrap and vaccuum sealing that may also need to be done in order to ensure that your package gets to you safely, and the time involved in completing your order. This handling fee does NOT cover the cost of the cooler bag and ice pack that is included with cheese and meat orders.

How much does the ice pack and cooler bag cost that is used to process a cheese and/or meat order?
Any order that has cheese or meat in it will be packaged in a reusable insulated cooler bag and resuable ice pack. The cost is $2.75 for a small bag and $3.00 for a large bag. We do our best to get your order in the smallest bag possible to limit the amount that you will be charged. In the event that an order is too large for one bag additional bags will be used and your total cost will reflect this.

What are your store hours?
Our most up to date store hours are located in the upper right corner of every page on the website next to Colby the Mouse. These hours are the same for both the Cheesebarn & Sweeties.

What are your cafe hours?
Our cafe is open for lunch everyday beginning at 10:30am and closes 2 hours prior to our store closing. During the time that the cafe is open you may seat yourself and a waitress will be available to take your order and serve you. After the cafe closes we do offer a limited portion of our menu for you to order from for to go orders.

Sweeties Jumbo Chocolates
When do you sell Chocolate Covered Strawberries?
We ONLY sell Chocoalte Covered Strawberries for Valentine's Day, Sweetest Day, & 4th of July (During our Strawberry Feast). Specific date are posted on the website closer to the event. Due to the high demand during these selling times, we highly encourage you to order them ahead of time to ensure that you will be able to get the quantity and kind that you want.

Why do you limit when you sell Chocolate Covered Strawberries?
Chocolate Covered Strawberries have a very limited shelf life. They are best if they are eaten the day that they are purchased for the best flavor. Because of this we are unable to predict the demand that would be needed on a daily basis to have them available. They are also very labor intensive and in order for us to provide our customers with all of the other great products that we make, we have to limit the times that we have strawberry production.

How do I order Chocolate Covered Strawberries?
Our Chocolate Covered Strawberries are available for purchase in our store only during specific times. You may call Sweeties up to 2-3 weeks before the designated holdiay to place your order. They may be reached directly at 419-281-7517 or you may call the Cheesebarn at 1-800-745-7091 and ask to be transfered to Sweeties.
